While at the moment, financial commitments mean that I need to work - and will for many years, I can strongly identify with what both these women are saying and I have noticed that many of these points that I have been able to incorporate into our home life have a profound impact on our relationship. More about that later, but to get you started thinking about these things, watch the video, and leave me a comment. What do you think about this concept of 1950's wives?
Thanks for posting this video. I've always loved the whole 1950's wife idea. Just like the woman on the clip that's all I ever wanted to do from when I was little - get married, have lots of kids and stay home looking after my family and house.
ReplyDeleteIt is hard work though, and I often need to take a step back when I start nagging or complaining. I wouldn't wish to have my husband's job for anything, compared to my job at home, hard as it sometimes is.
It's so true what they said about knowing that as a wife/mother/homemaker you have so much influence over setting the tone of the house. I definately find that.
